The Process – turning your vision into a reality
Step 1: Set up an appointment
Contact us for a free in-home consultation to discuss how you would like your property to look, feel and function. Flip through our client portfolio to help generate ideas and to fine tune your landscape-style preference. At this meeting we will discuss budget considerations, construction material options and planting preferences. A concept drawing and proposal may be presented at this meeting depending upon the scope of work involved.
Step 2: Developing & Reviewing the Master Plan
A master plan is developed after a complete site analysis is conducted. At the site analysis soil/grading/drainage and screening needs are assessed. Sun/shade factors along with existing landscape architectural features (both positive and negative) are noted. The landscape designer will create a scale drawing based upon feedback from the initial consultation and the site analysis. An initial master plan is presented and discussed with the homeowner. Feedback regarding the concept of the plan as well as finalizing plant and construction materials is obtained from the meeting.
Step 3: Final Drawing/Master Plan Review
A scale drawing of the property, house and work to be performed is provided along with the final estimate based upon plant and construction materials selected. Based upon the scope of the plan, an estimate can be broken down into phases with a very detailed account of all materials and labor associated with each phase. After receipt of a deposit the job is scheduled.
Step 4: Construction Begins
Prior to the scheduled start date, all necessary permits and approvals will be obtained. At Wildwood we value the consistency and efficiency obtained by keeping the same people on the same job from start to finish! We guarantee that our crews will remain on that job until completion. In other words, WE DO NOT PULL OF OUR CREWS TO WORK ON OTHER JOBS. In addition to the foreman, the designer will visit the job site frequently and communicate with the crew and homeowner regarding the progression of the job including changes and or additional work requested by the homeowner. Pre-arranged draws are obtained as the job progresses.
Step 5: Job Completion and Satisfaction
After the job is complete, the crew will clean-up all construction debris, materials and tools. The designer and foreman will schedule a walk-through to go over the job and to discuss the care of plant and hardscape materials. If interested, Wildwood can provide maintenance services for your new investment. This option is discussed at the time of the walk-through. Upon the day of completion and receipt of the final draw the warranty period begins.
