Philomont Garden Patio

This project started with a severe drainage problem.  The objective was to redirect a large amount of water and keep it from backing into the walkout basement doors.  We started by re-grading the space and rerouting the downspout water into a pre-existing french drain.

The patio is a Belgard paver with a random cobblestone pattern and textured surface.  The shape of the patio is centered off of the walkout basement doors. On either side of the patio are stone seat walls that not only retain soil, but minimize the amount of furniture needed on this small patio.
