Lansdowne Garden Patio

This is a classic garden patio package. You step out of the sliding glass door of the kitchen onto a landing that spans the width of the doors and gives you ample room before you negotiate the three steps that take you to the patio.

The contrast of brick and irregular flagstone make the circular part of the patio (centered on the windows of the living room) almost feel like an area rug.  A stone wall along the house provides seating and a raised planter.  The patio wraps around to a walkout basement.  The top step of the walkout was removed and rebuilt so that the flagstone was seamless.

Wechose from a list of plants that were decorative and low maintenance to provide this garden patio with year around color.  Carefully placed pots with annual displays help complete the look for one of my favorite garden patio packages.
